This thesis aims to recognise opportunities and limitations to the successful implementation and achievement of biofuel development sustainability principles in Sub-Saharan Africa, and to help understand solutions to limitations. Through a systemic process of examining theory, case study research and an expert-oriented survey, the aim is to better understand solutions to limitations and uncover approaches towards successful implementation of sustainability principles in Sub-Saharan Africa.
