Abstract
This professional online article, published in The Conversation, examines the psychological, physical, and organisational impacts of working from home (WFH) in the context of evolving hybrid work arrangements and employer return-to-office policies. It discusses recent organisational developments, including major Australian employers reintroducing or encouraging remote work, and situates these within broader debates about productivity, wellbeing, and workforce flexibility.
Drawing on interdisciplinary research in organisational psychology, environmental psychology, and occupational health, the article explores both benefits and challenges associated with remote work.
