Abstract

This entry focuses specifically on the wellbeing and mental health of legal academics. The scholarship on this topic is less developed than the literature relating to law students. It rests in part on the scholarship on the wellbeing and mental health of academics in general and reflects a variety of approaches to measurement. The concept will be summarised by using the word flourishing. The entry will explain the importance of the wellbeing of legal academics, what we mean by the term legal academics, and what the research tells us about flourishing when working in the legal academy.
