Abstract
Welcome, to Outback Musical is a longform (3,500 words, 52 photos, 13 videos) multimedia feature that takes the audience into the lives of six kids from outback Queensland as they prepare for one of the world’s most unusual musicals, while telling a deeper story about young people discovering themselves in isolation, the impacts of drought and disability, and the power of creativity. I co-wrote, co-designed and shot B-camera and still photography.
