Abstract
The following is an interview with Associate Professor Daryl McPhee, who is one of Australia's leading experts on sharks. He shares his story about coming from a highly disadvantaged background and experiencing, but with some support and practical encouragement embraced educational opportunities that enabled him to change his life.
