Abstract

The article presents a study which surveys and analyzes the present utilization of contrast therapy among the elite athletes of New Zealand (NZ) and compares the findings with that of scientific research. The researchers developed a questionnaire concerning stretching and nutrition, massage, pool recovery, water immersions, and active recovery and also included key themes such as the personnel involved, application protocol, rationale, and type of equipment. The study also concludes that there is little consensus in the method of application.
