Abstract

Intro:As is well known, the European Union is currently seeking to reform its data protection framework through the introduction of a Regulation to replace the 1995 Data Protection Directive (95/46/EC). This development will affect the data privacy landscape worldwide, not least as the proposed General Data Protection Regulation carries with it fines of up to 2% of the offending enterprise’s annual worldwide turnover
