Abstract
This article considers the difficult balance that must be struck between two fundamentally important rights - the right to equality and not to be discriminated against, on the one hand, and the right to religious freedom on the other. A recent Victorian Court of Appeal decision demonstrates one way in which these rights can be reconciled.
