Abstract
This article considers legal issues arising from a religious adherent who wishes to adopt dress typically associated with that religion. Some jurisdictions have sought to ban such dress. The article considers human rights and constitutional issues, including the right to religious freedom, and its balance with other rights such as equality and non-discrimination.
