Abstract
Significant neonatal illness and mortality rates have been documented amongst low- and middle-income nations (LMICs) specifically due to insufficient use of health services. However, according to some studies, simple health-related patient education provided to mothers can lead to the improvement of neonatal outcomes [1]. Surveys have shown that the quality of maternal and newborn care at primary care facilities often does not meet the appropriate standards [2]. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that most deliveries occur in primary care facilities based on the expectation that primary care facilities are equipped to conduct normal deliveries and can provide timely referral for complications.
