    Abstract

Well begun is half done. Planning for business case writing is key to ensure its effectiveness: a business case used in the classroom is expected to have clear learning goals, present tension(s) for discussion and decision-making, and include rich and pervasive data. A case author may start with the observation of a business-related phenomenon or have an enquiry or research question to ask. Either way, one needs to have clear ideas on the learning points on which the business situation is described and analyzed, and to which a related theory is linked.
