Abstract
Telstra Group Limited (Telstra), a major Australian communications company, supported a variety of initiatives aimed at bridging the digital divide and promoting digital skills, accessible connectivity, and technology. However, ensuring equitable access for all, including those in remote and Indigenous communities, was a significant challenge. The company’s December 2024 Chief Customer Advocate Report on Customer Vulnerability highlighted unmet demand for technology support for seniors, people with disabilities, individuals with low incomes, and regional customers. The team would need to determine how Telstra could better engage with these vulnerable groups and form additional partnerships to achieve its stated purpose of building “a connected future so everyone can thrive.”
