Abstract

This inquiry lapsed at the end of the 46th Parliament. On 2 August 2022, the Senate in the 47th Parliament referred an inquiry into UNDRIP to the Joint Standing Committee on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs (JSCATSIA) for inquiry and report. All public submissions that were accepted and published by this committee have been accepted as evidence by JSCATSIA.

On 29 March 2022, the Senate referred an inquiry into the application of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in Australia to the Legal and Constitutional Affairs References Committee for inquiry and report by 15 September 2022.
