    Abstract

This presentation demonstrates Alma patron deposits for displaying student work. It is a case study of the Master of Architecture Design Theses Collection at Bond University. The collection has launched with the first two exemplars selected by the Abedian School of Architecture.

The Abedian School of Architecture, opened in February 2014 as the only studio-based architecture school in Australia. This studio-based curriculum has informed a unique approach to post-graduate assessment, a design-based thesis in art book format.

The presentation will discuss the partnership between the faculty and the library, the benefits and challenges of using patron deposits, such as increasing the visibility and impact of student work, facilitating access, and managing workflows and metadata.

The presentation will also share some best practices and lessons learned from this project, and provide some suggestions for future developments and collaborations.
