Abstract

Health care providers share a common goal to provide high quality care to their patients. Kristensen et al. [1] studied the performance measures association clinical outcomes in Danish population. In this study, the authors observed 30-day mortality, 30-day readmission after discharge and the length of stay among hip fracture patients as main outcome measures. We knew that measuring performance can help to understand how well the health care organization achieving their goals successfully. The performance measure offers policy-makers a major opportunity to secure health system improvement and accountability. It plays a vital role in where and what changes need to be made in order to improve performance for better clinical outcomes and the quality of care provided. Therefore, the health care providers should measure their organization performance time to time which could help to understand what is working well and others could learn from their success.
