Abstract

Recently companies have improved their supply chain performance through improvement of ProductionDistribution (P-D) network to achieve their commitment on the low cost product and high responsiveness.
Performance measurement in supply chain has important feedback on information process. However complexity
in evaluation of performance parameters, in the mathematical models, provides necessity for simulation study as
a flexible model. Real problems of supply chain network have been published in a few case studies. This research
provides a systematic way in real case study, automotive manufacturer for evaluating P-D network performance
using ARENA 13.9 software. First simulation studies started by performance evaluation of the existing network
and later suggested configurations have been analyzed in terms of WIP and productivity as the performance
criteria.
