Abstract
Open Innovation“ (OI) hat als aktueller Trend Eingang in die Industrie gefunden. Die Wirksamkeit wurde in vielfältigen Studien im Bereich des produzierenden Gewerbes gezeigt. Diese Studien belegen deutliche Vorteile bezüglich Time-, Cost- und Fit-to-Market durch den Einsatz einer OI-Strategie in der Neuproduktentwicklung (NPD) und Produktweiterentwicklung sowie auch in der Entwicklung von innovativem Service. Durch den Einbezug wesentlicher externer Akteure in den Innovationsprozess werden die Kosten und die Zeit von der Produktion bis zur Markteinführung verringert, gleichzeitig wird die Passung des neuen Produktes oder Services an die aktuell geforderten Marktbedürfnisse erhöht.
Open Innovation (OI) has found its way into the industry as a current trend. The effectiveness has been shown in numerous studies in the manufacturing sector. These studies demonstrate clear advantages in terms of time, cost and fit-to-market through the use of an OI strategy in new product development (NPD) and product further development as well as in the development of innovative service. By involving key external actors in the innovation process, the costs and time from production to market launch are reduced, while at the same time the fit of the new product or service to the current market needs is increased.
