Abstract
The article offers information on lawyers practice of mediation and the need to reconsider the aspect of advocacy and non-adversarial behavior of their standards and guidelines. Topics discussed include the roles, ethical orientation and duties of the lawyers engaged in mediation of their clients, lawyers to act both as officers of the court and advocates of their clients during mediation, and the need of some adjustments in the rules of conduct.
