Abstract

Streaming platforms such as Netflix and Tiktock are losing market share and turning to gaming to support the growth, retention and IP generation. This piece explores the rationale of why they are shifting to games, including growth of the industry, transmedia storytelling, content creation with games and the use of data to support new IP and creativity.
