Larrimah: Who Killed Paddy Moriarty?

Research output: Book/ReportBookResearchpeer-review

Abstract

Larrimah is narrative non-fiction exploration of a tiny 12-person hamlet in the Northern Territory, which was rocked by the 2017 disappearance of resident Paddy Moriarty. More than the story of a missing man and his dog, Larrimah is also about a disappearing town and an outback way of life hovering on the brink of extinction, too. You can’t separate the two stories: What happened to Paddy? And what happened to Larrimah? They’re like two whodunnits, twisted together.
This book weaves the investigation into Paddy’s disappearance and likely murder into the complex and chequered story of Larrimah and its history, integrating more than 100 interviews, archival research and more than 4000 km of first-hand experience on the road.
This is the second edition, published with a substantial update to the case.
