Abstract
[Extract]
Consultants and general practitioners spend years learning to be clinical specialists. Yet their role often requires them to supervise the education and training of other doctors. Many of those who want to do this job well feel unprepared for the task.
Questions and concerns keep arising in the minds of colleagues who are educational supervisors. We hope to answer these questions in this book, and have deliberately tried to keep things practical as well as describe some of the theory that underpins recommended practice.
