Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore the use of incentives in statutory planning and development regulation systems to require and/or encourage innovative sustainable urban development outcomes. The study addresses two research questions: 1. What types of development incentives and systems exist to encourage/require sustainable development? 2. What quantifible measures can be used to award incentives?
