Abstract

Background:
Evidence-based guidelines (EBG) and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) recommendations state normal diet commence 12-24hours following liver transplant. This study aimed to identify post-operative nutrition practices for liver transplant recipients compared to guideline recommendations, explore clinician perceptions regarding nutrition after transplant and implement/evaluate strategies to improve post-operative nutrition practices.
