The International Journal for Quality in Health Care, which is an official journal of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), presents two editor's choices in this issue. Together they span from the unit through to the system levels, and capture the diversity, challenges and positive benefits associated with healthcare continuous quality improvement studies.
