Abstract
For most of the previous century, globalization reduced trade barriers,
opening borders and facilitating the free flow of goods and capital. However,
recent years have seen increasing barriers to trade in the name of national
security.
This review first provides an overview, introducing each chapter of the
book. It then discusses one of the book’s most significant contributions, the
introduction of the national security scales of intensity in cross-border trade, an
essential framework for assessing risk in global finance.
