Abstract

From the eighth generation of home consoles, to the latest dedicated handhelds, to ever more powerful personal computers, to mobile phones and tablets, to the rapid spread of virtual reality components, interactive games are woven into the fabric of our culture – a culture more nuanced and capable of enjoying the benefits of the digital economy than ever before. This report extends our knowledge of games and the New Zealanders who play them.
