Abstract

Cardiovascular disease patients with psychosocial issues have difficulty attending rehabilitation. Guardian Angel is a support structure that has been found to increase positivity and motivation in computer simulation. However, this finding needs to be validated in a trial with real patients. This research involves developing a mobile application to facilitate the Guardian Angel structure for cardiac rehabilitation patients. A trial will then be conducted to determine whether implementing Guardian Angel in cardiac rehabilitation using the application can increase patients' positivity and motivation. The current design of the application allows the user to chat with their angel and child and track their habits. Currently, the application is still in design phase. Development will start in April 2020. The trial is scheduled to run from August to September 2020.
