Abstract

[Extract]
The thought of Abu Dhabi might bring forth images of sand, camels, sheikhs, and, more recently, Formula One race cars. But for those working in health care, it’s time to buckle up for a different reason: The design of the new Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) hospital offers an exciting ride through bright, wide corridors lined with glass walls, soothing waterways and artwork, and details that address resource stewardship and sustainability as well as cultural matters such as privacy and religious practices.
