Deliverables: Progress Report on Manuscript write up and Platform developmentPhase: Case study modelling, analysis and comparisonThis report summarizes progress to date, key objectives, activities and further tasks for the Cooler Desert Cities project, which aims to unearth design drivers that contribute to low-emission, low-energy desert comfort, laying the basis for the development of the “Cooler-Shaper Tool” (CST). This stage focused on modelling (Masdar) and analysis of case study models for Shibam (YEM) and Masdar (UAE). The results are also compared with previous analysis outcomes for the Al Fahidi historical neighbourhood in Dubai (UAE).
