Abstract
When the COVID-19 restrictions were relaxed my first comment to a former top Gold Coast Cop, Jim Keogh, was
that Burleigh Headland will go out of control.
A blind man could have seen it coming, apparently the police did not.
People I have spoken to have told me there was not a uniform to be seen until late in the afternoon, by then the horse had bolted.
The ignoring of social distancing requirements is just a reflection of behaviour that has been tolerated or ignored on Burleigh headland for many years.
It may also be symptomatic of crime in Queensland.
