Abstract
Burleigh Heads, beautiful one day, beset by crime the next. It didn’t always
used to be this way. I have been coming to Burleigh Heads since I was a kid and have lived here for the past 25 years. The attraction of Burleigh was the relaxed atmosphere, the convenience of the shops at James St, where everything was within
easy reach.
Fast forward to now and Burleigh Heads has ceased to be a hub of service industry businesses, instead it is on the fast track to becoming an entertainment district that attracts drunks, drugs and those looking to cause trouble.
