Abstract
Science is ideally suited to connect people from different cultures and thereby foster mutual understanding. To promote international life science collaboration, we have launched “The Science Bridge” initiative. Our current project focuses on partnership between Western and Middle Eastern neuroscience communities. N1 - Description The NeuroView format was inspired by the impact that neuroscience research has outside of the laboratory. The aim of this format is to provide a venue for the discussion of issues and ideas that are at the interface of neuroscience research and broader society and also a forum for discussion of topics affecting the research community, including ethics, science policy, and funding initiatives. NeuroViews are more conversational in tone than our standard reviews, are meant to be thought provoking, and can be somewhat more opinionated. Length NeuroViews are 1,500 to 3,000 words in length. They include a summary that is no more than 40 words, may include a figure, and are limited to 10 references. Peer review NeuroViews may undergo peer review at the discretion of the editors.
