Breathe: Surgical interventions in pulmonary diseases

[Extract] This is my first issue of Breathe as the new Chief Editor and I would like to take the opportunity to thank Renata Riha, the outgoing Chief Editor, for the outstanding work she has done over the past 3 years. Under her leadership, Breathe established a strong online presence, introduced new features such as the Physiology masterclass and the Radiology corner, and strengthened the journal's collaboration with the European Respiratory Society Early Career Members Committee. Today, Breathe is a leader in providing practice-focused educational content to respiratory professionals.
