Abstract
Letter 15
ATHALIAH TO ELIJAH THE TISHBITE
(2 Kings 11; 2 Chronicles 21-22)
Mr Elijah the Tishbite,
I have waited many years to write this letter to you, though I have written
it many times over in my head. We shalI come to the issue of my mother,
but first, I feel it my civic duty to inform you of your politico-prophetic
~ successes. You will be pleased to hear that, as per what you wrote a little
over two years ago in your last letter to my husband, Jehoram, King of
Judah, all that you said would come to pass has indeed come to pass,
including poor Jehoram’s bowels.
