ALRC sexual violence reforms — strengthening the judicial toolkit for addressing rape myths

Abstract

With careful implementation by judicial officers, the ALRC's proposed reforms May reduce the influence of rape myths and misconceptions in sexual assault trials, improving the justice system experience for victim-survivors of sexual violence - but further research will be required to evaluate their impact.
