Abstract

EXTRACT: Saturday 18 July 1998, I was working the afternoon shift as a detective
sergeant at Surfers Paradise as part of the Northern Investigative Group
of the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch. At about 6pm I
was contacted by a senior sergeant from Broadbeach who had concerns about a
missing person reported earlier that morning. My partner and I went and spoke
to him and concurred with his hunch- there was something not right about this
missing person matter.
