Abstract
In response to numerous debates over the bidding and contracting system for public works, a bidding system that emphasizes technical capabilities is being introduced in Japan. In order to operate this system rationally, it is essential to develop a comprehensive evaluation method for construction technology. In this study, we focused on the four basic characteristics of construction technology: economizability (initial construction cost), constructability, durability, and serviceability, and proposed an evaluation method that enables a unified comprehensive evaluation by independently evaluating these factors using detailed quantitative indicators and calculating the total cost converted into monetary terms of the four indicators. This evaluation method was applied to the self-placeable concrete, which is a representative new concrete technology at the present time, and the validity of the evaluation method was verified. At the same time, in order to calculate the influence of various conditions on the evaluation results of the new technology, sensitivity analysis was performed by expressing the degree of economic growth, socio-economic environment, weather conditions, etc. by various parameters.
