Project Details
Description
We are aiming to review and improve our delivery of stress exposure simulations (SES) within the Emergency Department.
Managing individual and team stress is an important part of ED performance, and simulation is a technique that can enhance individual and team coping strategies in the face of high stress clinical challenges.
The optimal approach to simulation for this purpose has not been well established. In exploring participant experience during stress exposure simulations, we aim to inform improvements in simulation design, delivery, and debriefing. This will improve our training at the local level and offer guidance for other emergency department simulation programs around the world.
