Project Details
Description
This project aims to identify legislative change needed to integrate new technology that facilitates novel, and more equitable, access to land ownership. Its significance lies in identifying, for the first time, the legislative reform necessary to integrate blockchain technology into Queensland’s land administration system as a means of creating a new class of more affordable land titles. The expected outcome is a policy brief, and publication of peer reviewed articles outlining the reform and how the technology will meet existing land title policy imperatives. By establishing a track record, the project is a precursor to application for a Linkage Grant.
