Dr Vishal Mehrotra obtained his PhD (Marketing) from Bond University, Australia. His research interests are in ludic marketing, human motivation, consumer behaviour and the scholarship of learning and teaching (specifically looking at game based learning interventions, innovations and effects as well as research skill development). He has published in ABDC A* and A quality journals and has received industry grants to drive impactful research programmes.

Dr Mehrotra is interested in supervising HDR students with broad interest in marketing and the scholarship of learning & teaching. Specific areas of interest are consumer behaviour, gamification and gamified marketing interventions, emerging technology and its role in marketing and consumer outcomes, and research skills development.
