I consider that project is a “molecule” of our life since our life consists of innumerable projects. To experience successful projects is very important to have a happy life. Thus, I have been conducting research together with students to think about how we can have successful project management. In the previous organization, I have supervised more than 15 doctoral students. I would like to pursue the following topics with students who have strong interest in human being and society:
-Enhancement of work motivation of construction practitioners
-Risk-Motivation-Behaviour in project management
-Multi-party risk and uncertainty management process (MRUMP) for local environmental management

Research interests

My current research interest looks at how each team member of a project can be autonomously motivated regardless of the type of project. I tackle this issue from the viewpoint of risk management: that is, how each person should take and manage a risk such that she/he can tackle the optimum challenge. I have developed this project management theory from the viewpoint of risk and motivation, which complements the PMBOK.
