Personal profile

Research interests

My research focuses on medicines safety, antimicrobial stewardship, and the optimisation of prescribing across primary care, aged care, and hospital settings. I apply clinical epidemiology and implementation science to reduce preventable medicines-related harm, particularly among older adults and other high-risk populations. I have a strong track record in adverse drug events, polypharmacy, anticholinergic burden, and pharmacist-led interventions, alongside leadership in antimicrobial stewardship implementation trials aimed at reducing inappropriate antibiotic use in the community. I am also an Adjunct Professor at Charles Sturt University, and through my national and international collaborations, I work to translate evidence into practice, inform policy, and improve health system performance.
