Research interests

Dr. Rajat Roy is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Bond Business School, Australia. He has published extensively in prestigious marketing journals (FT 50, ABDC ranked A*/A) such as Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Business Ethics, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Advertising, Psychology & Marketing amongst others. Rajat has served as session chairs in global and Australian marketing conferences and attended invited talks across reputed universities in Australia, UK, Japan, Singapore and India. Rajat currently serves the academe through his role as Senior Associate Editor, Associate Editor, Guest Editor and as an editorial board member of several prestigious marketing journals. He also serves as an Australian Research Council reviewer. Rajat has won several accolades like outstanding reviewer award, best paper award and his research mentioned by AACSB. He was further recognised amongst top 60 advertising researchers in the world. Rajat has successfully secured industry and government funding for his research. Rajat plays an active role in mentoring early career and senior researchers, mainly by conducting global trainings in experimental design for faculty and students. He has supervised several HDR students.

 Rajat has taught a number of marketing subjects in Australia and Asia. His leadership in teaching is evidenced through his role as a lead educator and managing the teaching team to deliver high student satisfaction. Rajat led the GAPS research pillar at BBS and headed previous positions like Deputy Chair of Strategic Review board, peer review of teaching coach in his career. His interaction with the wider community is evidenced through various expert commentaries in a range of media such as newspaper, television, online channels and as a keynote speaker. Rajat has successfully consulted industry clients like Mercedes Benz, United States Studies Centre, Koala Research Foundation and recently contributed to the Australian Federal Government consultation paper on research commercialisation.
