Personal profile

Research interests

I research constitutional and public law in Australia and Myanmar, drawing on both academic work and legal practice experience in Australian migration law.  My work explores how legal frameworks respond to political reform and social change, with particular interest in the role of the legal profession and in legal history.  I take a reform-oriented legal analysis approach, focusing on the rule of law, federalism, and legal pluralism.  I collaborate regularly on policy-relevant research.
