Personal profile

Research interests

My academic background is in the field of pharmacy, and I hold a Bachelor, Masters and PhD degree in this field. As a researcher, my PhD thesis was specifically dedicated to paediatric and neonatal care however I also have a great interest in other fields of health research, and I have been involved in collaborative research projects related to palliative care and aged care. My thesis was focused on exploring pharmacy practice in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) and was dedicated to the development of a quality guidance resource comprising key performance indicators for pharmaceutical care services in NICUs in Australia and Poland.

Currently, I am a post-doctoral research fellow at the Centre for Research Excellence in Minimising Antibiotic Resistance in the Community (CRE-MARC), working on exploring the barriers and enablers to reduced prescribing of antibiotics in residential aged care facilities in Australia, and working towards the development of strategies decreasing the use of antibiotics in these facilities.
