Research interests

Dr Larissa Sattler is an experienced orthopaedic physiotherapist and researcher, currently in the role of Assistant Professor of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Clinical Education at Bond University.

During her time as a senior orthopaedic physiotherapist at Pindara Private Hospital on the Gold Coast, Larissa completed a PhD in the field of total knee arthroplasty rehabilitation. Her research has been presented nationally and internationally and she is a member of the Queensland Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Network, ANZMUSC Clinical Trial Group and the Australian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Group, where she holds the position of State Chair for 2025-2027.

Currently, Larissa is leading a randomised controlled trial with the Orthopaedic Department at Robina Hospital investigating optimal physiotherapy pathways for patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty, which is funded by a Gold Coast Health Collaborative Grant Scheme award.
