Research interests

My research interests include social media and editorial decision-making, news frames and agenda setting, and the framing of global news stories in Australia.

I joined Bond University in late 2021. I led the ABC's Society and Culture digital, broadcast, and podcast teams from 2017 -2021 and enjoyed a career as an executive producer, documentary maker, and broadcaster.

My PhD thesis examines incarceration's psycho-social impacts on refugees held in off-shore and on-shore detention. My Master's thesis explores nationalist narratives in framing current affairs stories on Australian TV.
