Research interests
I am an award-winning broadcaster, journalist and academic, with research interests in the fields of investigative journalism, emerging and traditional audio formats, feature writing, biography, international relations, and history.
I am a highly experienced radio and TV documentary maker, broadcaster, and executive producer. Prior to joining Bond University, I led the ABC's Society and Culture genre area for digital, broadcast, and podcast.
My PhD thesis examines the psycho-social impacts of incarceration for refugees held in off-shore and on-shore detention. My Master's thesis explores nationalist narratives in framing current affairs stories on Australian TV.
