Personal profile

Research interests

I am an Early Career Academic with an interdisciplinary background in biomedical research. Since the work on my PhD (2017) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), I have developed a research profile in the fields of cell biology, inflammation, and prostate cancer

The PhD research project that I conducted at Queensland University of Technology focussed on intracellular trafficking pathways in macrophages, the role of Matrix Metalloproteinases in macrophage migration and macrophage-mediated inflammation in wound healing.

More recently, I have been involved in several collaborative research projects on sophisticated bioengineered models to study prostate cancer bone metastasis at the Translational Research Institute (TRI).

I am part of a collaborative team (QUT, UQ, Mater, international collaborators) that has been funded to study Deep spatiotemporal insights into vertical transmission of SARS-CoV-2 immunopathology. My skill set also includes microscopy (immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy, live imaging) and image analysis.
