Research interests

I am an experienced senior leader with demonstrable success in delivering whole-of-institution programs, research studies and cultural change initiatives. My current position is Assistant Provost and Director of the Transformation CoLab with Bond University in Australia.

As an educational reformist my expertise is the enhancement of student success and graduate employability through data-driven approaches to student retention and engagement, teaching, curricular reform and work integrated learning. I have led this work in multiple settings using established cultural change processes to engage diverse stakeholders.

A staunch advocate for student equity and the empowerment of women, and a 2019 Research Fellow with the National Centre for Student Equity in Higher Education, my interests are equitable higher education pathways and addressing the impacts of disadvantage. I have a long history of respectful partnerships with Whadjuk Noongar communities and have co-authored a Framework for Respectful Work and Learning with Australia’s First Peoples.

I am an internationally known researcher with a world-class publications record of over 270 academic articles and major reports. The Creative Workforce and Developing EmployABILITY initiatives, which I direct, engage over 60 institutions globally. I have a strong record of translating research outcomes to maximise their impact for industry and the community.

I am a respectful and collaborative colleague with immense energy and capacity to learn. I am a strategic and creative thinker with high emotional intelligence and a commitment to mentoring less experienced colleagues.
