Personal profile

Research interests

Cath is committed to helping clinicians use evidence to practice safely and deliver high quality patient outcomes. She enjoys working with academics, clinicians, governments, professional associations, medical device manufacturers and expert peers to explore opportunities for research, innovation and development and publication. Translating evidence to infection prevention and control practice is notoriously difficult, Cath has a career-long aspiration to assist that process in Australia. She also holds a degree in photography with a keen interest on capturing and using clinical imagery to assist with behaviours, education and better understanding of clinical and environmental challenges.

Cath’s passion for infection control and prevention is well recognised and unrelenting particularly as she, like many mature Australians, consumes healthcare now more than ever before.
